The Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix is the second-longest boat race and has been held for nearly three decades. Residents enjoy two days of riveting motorsports action. Architecture Sarasota MOD Weekend is a four-day event with exhibitions, walking tours, programs, and lectures to teach people about architecture and design in Sarasota. 
 
The St. Armand's Circle Art Festival hosts 200 artists and allows patrons to meet them and view their artwork. There is a wide array of artwork, such as sculpture, photography, glass, paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and mixed media.
